Engineering Geologist

Two words that best describe the RDCL culture?

Exciting, encouraging

What’s your most memorable project?

Makino Road subdivision in Fielding. This was my first large subdivision site, and one of my earliest projects. What made the site so interesting was that a fault ran directly through it and required us to log some trenches across the site.

Which RDCL value is most important to you?

Courageousness, allows me to challenge myself in unknown situations and offers the opportunity to learn from mistakes and grow.

What do you love about working at RDCL?

RDCL offers the opportunity to gain experience with a vast amount of different interesting projects, which all offer a different level of complexity. There is also a great work life balance, plus the Wellington office has a great atmosphere and chats.

Where or how do you reset and recharge?

Outside of work I reset by being outside, by trail running. I live close to Mt Victoria and the southern coastline, which means an abundance of trails to explore and enjoy. I used to be a chef so to relax from the week, I love to spend time in the kitchen with a craft beer in hand.
