Tom Grace has a BSc majoring in geology, graduating from the University of Canterbury in 2002. He has worked on coal and hard rock projects in the Philippines, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Tom’s project experience includes planning and managing geological and geotechnical exploration programs, mapping, logging, interpretation and modelling. Tom’s commodity experience includes coal, copper and gold in primarily porphyry settings.  He has a particular interest in database / GIS design and implementation, drill programme management and downhole testing.  Tom is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the New Zealand Geotechnical Society.

Originally from Havelock North, Tom returned in October 2007 and has settled back into the ‘Bay’, enjoying its attractions when he is at home to do so.  Tom is our “field guy” at this stage using his considerable field expertise to assist clients manage their drilling programs.

When we last updated Tom’s profile, we reported that he had been in the Philippines woken by the roosters at 3am every morning.  We are happy to now report that the cows are keeping Tom awake as he goes about his business in the Waikato, NZ’s dairy capital and biggest coal production area.
