Taradale Stopbank Upgrade. We undertook geophysical and geotechnical testing assess the condition of the existing stopbank. We then monitored construction of the stopbank upgrade. This project gave me experience with construction of dam-type structures, in particular: permeability, material suitability, earthworks solutions; construction contracts, and timely regular reporting.
Courage. At RDCL you are given the room to be courageous with your work, always getting the chance to do new things, expand your skills and knowledge.
Professional development, RDCL is very generous on sending people on courses. We also have a culture of knowledge sharing, with various tech-talks held by colleagues who are working on interesting projects.
I feel refreshed whenever I play squash, go tramping or mountain biking. To relax, I watch cars driving around in circles.
