Richard Tichborne
BSc (Geology), Pg Dip Engineering Geology
Richard Tichborne is an Engineering Geologist graduating with a Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering Geology from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) in late 2009.
As a graduate geologist Richard has been exposed to a number of new and challenging projects including drilling rig supervision for a Coal Gasification testing project including detailed geological and geotechnical logging, training in Nuclear Densometer (NDM) testing and most recently in the provision of site geotechnical services for a high-speed rail project in Melbourne, Australia.
Richard is a Havelock North local and the tallest guy in RDCL by far ! Which as Susan says, is actually not that hard although she forgets how tall Peter “Bob the Builder” is !
Richard is one of the keenest individuals we have had the pleasure to employ with nothing too tough for him. He is a successful rugby player who has put his season “on hold” this year while he builds his experience and skills. We haven’t told him the reality of being a geologist out of Havelock North is probably going to make next years season tough too !! So don’t you tell him either
