Joy Hoverd

Joy Hoverd graduated from the University of Auckland in 2002. During her studies, Joy graduated with a BSc majoring in geology, after which she completed her Masters, graduating with First Class Honours.
Joy has worked throughout New Zealand. Her relevant experience consists of engineering geological field mapping investigations, field testing and reporting for construction compliance.
Joy has a particular interest and experience in hazard management, advising and assisting land owners, council and community groups on affected areas, site assessments, EQC damage assessments, landslide and related hazards. Joy is a member of the NZ Geotechnical Society.
Joy returned to New Zealand in August 2007, after spending a couple of snow seasons in France, a tour of Europe and a stint in Canada.
After moving to the Bay, she now lives in Haumoana. Joy and her partner enjoy the surf and the wineries that the area has to offer. Joy enjoys horse riding on the beach and spending time in her vege garden.
