/> NZ born David Reynolds joins our Havelock North office from Welkom, South Africa where he has been living for thirty years. It is an honour for RDCL to recruit a senior geologist of David’s calibre and experience, and to bring him home to NZ.

David has twenty years’ geological experience in the mining sector, mostly working for the “majors”. He brings valuable discipline and project evaluation skills in mine project generation including financial analyses. His commodity experience is primarily in sediment hosted deposits, mostly around gold in the deep fields of South Africa. He has extensive knowledge of target definition, detailed sedimentary analyses, Assay laboratory audits, feasibility and pre-feasibility studies.

We are excited about the additional capacity David’s appointment gives RDCL and we proudly welcome home an expat.

Principal Geotechnical and Mining Engineer
Evangelos Georgopolous has a first degree in Mining Engineering, and an MSc in Design and Construction of Underground Works. Evangelos’ experience is a technical engineer with significant experiences in geotechnical modelling for stress and displacement analysis, geotechnical monitoring and rock mass behaviour testing.

Evangelos has completed tunnel and structural designs for mining projects, foundation designs for oil refineries, wastewater management and treatment plant designs on Greek islands and geotechnical projects in Lithuania and Romania.

Evangelos is an experienced, technical engineer. We welcome and look forward to his addition to our team. He builds on our existing underground and geotechnical capability, adds mining engineering strength and again, adds analytical, design and operational discipline.

Geotechnical Engineer
Jonathan Garelick joins us from the UK. Jonathan’s diverse geotechnical background adds greater weight to RDCL’s service offering. Jonathan has worked with waste water, safe methods of land filling heavy metals, reservoir design, building design and pressure control zones.

Lead Field Geologist
Ryan McPeek joined RDCL from the Bowen Basin where he previously worked for a well known geological and geotechnical firm. Extremely motivated, organised and capable Ryan has joined the field crew supervising coal (Waikato) and now copper (Philippines) drilling operations.

Lead Geophysicist
Gareth Hay joined RDCL in late May to provide Geophysical Services in Downhole testing to the company. Gareth is well known in New Zealand and considered a reliable and accurate operator in downhole acquisition. Gareth is based in Havelock North, but with projects throughout New Zealand and the Philippines, he expects to travel.

Improved Capacity and Capability Resource and Mining Geology, Project Evaluation and Geotechnical Engineering

Coal

Drilling and Testing

Engineering Geology

Geology

Geotechnical

Hawkes Bay

Mining

Professional

RDCL News

Technical

Uncategorized

Wanaka
<guid
